Executive Chef Lauren Teague has become a familiar smiling face and staple within the Savannah food scene. Her culinary expertise is rooted in her love for local ingredients and enthusiastically supporting farmers’ markets. For Chef Lauren, food is a means of bringing happiness and satisfaction to a rapidly growing audience. As a graduate with high honors from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, her formal training supplemented her innate and inventive culinary success. This was further evidenced when she was honored as Hyatt Hotel's Executive Chef of the Year in 2015 for 22 Square, and voted Connect Savannah's Best Chef 2017 for Atlantic, a Neighborhood Eatery.
With a passion for giving back to the community, Chef Lauren actively seeks local farmers and produce for her creations, and often generates recipes with this in mind. Recent collaborations have included Hunt Gather Feast with local wood-fired pizza guru Big-Bon, as well as the Downtown Garden Club benefit Herbalicious. She is eager to continue forging new partnerships within the Savannah area and surrounding communities.
As Executive Chef at PACCI Italian Kitchen + Bar, Chef Lauren's culinary approach pairs sustainable ingredients with her continual love for learning about food and culture. She approaches PACCI with a vision, frequently generating new takes on Italian classics, and bringing her gift of baking wonderful fresh breads daily to every table. Chef Lauren is thrilled to join the PACCI team, as a leader and mentor, raising the bar even higher for great dining in Savannah.
The Savannah Food & Wine Festival is presented by the Tourism Leadership Council, a 501-(c) 6 organization, and The AdFish Group, with proceeds benefiting the TLC Scholarship Fund, with educational opportunities for hospitality program students in colleges and universities in the Coastal Empire and many local charitable organizations.
