Class TU1: France Explored: Alsatian Collaborations

Deeply passionate about the culture and cuisine of France, Chef Jean Vendeville of the Culinary Institute of Savannah eagerly invites you to share his French table with him.  This year Chef Vendeville will highlight the rich flavors of Alsace in a variety of traditional and beloved dishes from the region.  You will learn how to bring these flavors into your own kitchen and how to best pair them with the balanced and refreshing wines of Alsace which include varietals like riesling, gewürztraminer and pinot gris to name a few.  Bon appétit!

Class TU2: Napa Greatness: Varietal Wines of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars

Time: 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM

Notably a Napa Valley first-growth estate, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, is one of California’s most iconic and revered wineries.  Their two estates vineyards, FAY Vineyard and S.L.V Vineyard, are cared for with sustainable farming practices and harvest grapes that allow their makers to produce wines with an intense expression of place through the aroma, flavor and texture of each wine.  Join one of the brands esteemed educators for an afternoon savoring  a collection of a few of their renowned wines.

Class TU3: Best Of The Cow aka STEAKS

Time: 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM

Location: Chef Darin's Kitchen Table

Address: 2514 Abercorn St, #140, Savannah GA

Master Butcher, Michael Sullivan will guide the class through selecting, cutting and cooking the best parts of the cow – the steaks! He will showcase a selection of different cuts to explain what to look for when buying and then demonstrate on how to cut some hand-cut steaks on your own. The class will then move on to cooking steaks, with the right techniques and temperature ranges.

The Savannah Food & Wine Festival is presented by the Tourism Leadership Council, a 501-(c) 6 organization, and The AdFish Group, with proceeds benefiting the TLC Scholarship Fund, with educational opportunities for hospitality program students in colleges and universities in the Coastal Empire and many local charitable organizations.
