Register now for the 2019 BArtenders Challenge Competition at Edward’s Proof and Provisions on September 22nd & 23rd
Come see what’s shakin’ at the Savannah Food & Wine Festival’s annual Bartenders Challenge held at Edgar’s Proof & Provisions (located in the DeSoto Hotel). Savannah and coastal Georgia’s finest mixologists will join together in a two-day event to share their best recipes in hopes of winning over the judges’ scorecards and moving on to the final rounds where their winning cocktails will be featured at the Secret Savannah Speakeasy (Nov. 7). The Overall Winner, selected by a panel of esteemed judges, and a People’s Choice Winner will both be announced that evening with the Overall Winner taking home a $1000 grand prize.
The semi-finals will be held Sunday, September 22 and Monday, September 23. Bartenders competing in the semi-final rounds must enter a recipe utilizing one of the following brands: Aperol Liqueur, Four Roses Bourbon, Ron Barcelo Rum, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Chemist American Gin, TBD Tequila, or TBD Whiskey. Competitors must present their signature cocktail to a panel of industry judges who will then select a winner for each spirit category – Bourbon, Gin, Liqueur, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, and Whiskey. For $10 the public can attend and cheer on their favorite competing bartenders all while enjoying one complimentary cocktail from the team at Edward’s Proof & Provisions and light appetizers.
