Originally a student of painting, sculpture, and business, Mollie Battenhouse found herself drawn to the restaurant business. This led to studying at the Culinary Institute of America and cooking in Atlanta, New Orleans, and New York City.
Eventually, Mollie found her way to wine, and has worked for Joshua Wesson at Best Cellars, Drew Nieporent and David Gordon at the Tribeca Gill, and Paul Liebrandt at Corton, and the Elm. After leaving restaurants, Mollie immersed herself in wine distribution and management, finally finding her current position at Jackson Family Wines as the National Director of Wine Education and the Ambassador for Oregon Wines.
She is also a Partner in WineRing, a technology company that has developed a wine recommendation system based on the consumer's own personal preferences; and is an instructor for the WSET at the International Wine Center in New York City.
